You’ve seen Clay’s work in the DVD Extras from movies like Welcome to America (Kevin Klein) and Comanche Moon (Val Kilmer) . Desert Gem has also been on the set of Employee Of The Month (Jessica Simpson / Dane Cook), BeerFest (Broken Lizard boys, Mo’Nique, Cloris Leachman) numerous assignments for EXTRA! including Living Hell, Comanche Moon, West Texas Children’s Story, The Hitcher and the SciFi Channel’s mini series The Lost Room. Clay and his team have Interviewed Golden Globe Nominee Pierce Brosnan, Kevin Klein and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. He finished a short documentary on Navajo Water Rights that helped Congress decide on future water rights in the Western United States.

He continues to work as a freelance producer for NBC. Projects include coverage on Operation Jump Start – the US border security initiative, the ENRON case in Houston, and Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf States, the President’s visit to INTEL, the shuttle disaster, Elizabeth Smart, Texas Tornados, Western US Wild Fires, Aaron Ralston, Iraq War, American POWs and other stories.

He’s completed work on a documentary airing on RAI Italian TV about the world’s first atomic explosion. He was hired as a Political Consultant for CBS News, and you can see his work on the History Channel’s Modern Marvels. The folks at Fox still remember his work New Year’s Eve shooting and producing a multi camera live with the Charlie Daniel’s Band.

War assignments include troop deployments, several stories related to those killed in the 507th Maintenance Company, Patriot missile questions, extensive work on POW capture, search for, release & homecoming.
